Pam (AKA the Boss) is the first half of the double act that own Grand Slam. Passionately Welsh, Pam was the inspiration behind the name of the boat given the stupendous performance of the national rugby team -still at least we will remember the year the boat was lauched as they won't do it again for a while!
Pam is now the most qualified of the double act having achieved her yachtmaster certificate this year (so she's in charge).
Andy (AKA Dr Bob), the other half of the double act that own Grand Slam. He is quiet, unassuming and very rarely shouts!
Has been know to appear on the foredeck with disastrous effects.
His plan is to sail Grand Slam around the world once he has as many qualifications as Pam and if he eventually retires!

Rob, (AKA “do you think we can get the spinnaker up some time this year Rob?”). Rob cut his teeth on Grand Slam on the foredeck (or frontierland as he calls it – rather than fantasy land at the back of the boat) but has recently been seen further back. A very keen ornithologist (likes watching birds – who doesn’t!), cooks a mean breakfast (if you can wait 2 hours for it) and has a penchant for snazzy clothes, particularly thongs.
Under contract until 2014, following a loan spell with “Magic Moment” early in 2005.
Nigel joined the team back in 2004 while we still had Eurobo and was one of the crew for the inaugural sail to Eyemouth and the Bell Rock. He is currently lying in 2nd place behind Robert in the fishing competition.
Usually to be seen either in the cockpit on the end of a jib sheet or rushing away from the club with results in hand to file his next scoop.
Nigel is currently taking a sabbatical from sailing but is likely to be back once Rob overtakes him in the fishing competition.

Jim
Jim has been a great addition to the crew during Grand Slam’s formative years. Although he sails his own boat (L’arc en Ciel) he has been with us for many of the round the cans races and for the two trips to Norway.
An absolutely brilliant folk singer, he was responsible for the 2007 Norway calypso, which will eventually be found somewhere else on this site.
(AKA Mr Bump) One of the original crew and stalwart of the first North Sea race in 2006. He is the clear winner of the custom sporran competition. Always handy to have a bucket on board in case Archie sprains his ankle and needs some cold water to soak it in.

Although Ken is a key member of Erin's crew, he came with us on the 2006 Norway race and the trip back in 2007 via Stornaway and Kirkwall. Usually to be found at the "wet" end of the boat. He and Robert sitting at the sharp end to keep the front down as we went over a "standing wave" in Eyndhallow sound comes to mind. A two metre high wall of water came over the bow! Similarly around Rattray head in a downwind Force 7, he will do anything to keep his ears warm.

Susan
This girl can turn her hand to anything. Playing the tin whistle, juggling, composing calypsos, chatting up firemen and chasing sheep. Sue started racing with us in 2006 and came on the 2007 Norway trip. Highlight of her time on Grand Slam was visiting all the boats in McDuff harbour to have a drink on each collect a verse for the North Sea calypso.

Anna is the skippers worst nightmare - because she knows more about racing than they do! Expert at sail trim and always wanting to go fast. Top speed is not enough. Upside is that I've always got support to get the Spinnaker up. Not strong at singing (who is?) but more than makes up for it with actions.
Often to be found round at Rob's house.
